Broadband’s the New Buzz in Northern Nevada

The Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA) now has a whole new understanding of broadband essentials. Connect Nevada was invited to the NNDA meeting this week to give members a crash course on everything high-speed Internet. Presentations included a technology vocabulary lesson and an explanation of types of broadband delivery like cable, DSL, wireless and satellite. Connect Nevada Releases USF Mobility Fund Eligibility Maps & Analysis

Ensuring ubiquitous availability of next-generation mobile broadband networks is critical to economic development and growth. Recognizing this importance, the Federal Communications Commission later this year will distribute $300 million in subsidies to support the construction of high-speed mobile broadband networks in areas that do not currently have mobile broadband access.
